Wenger declares recipe for success this season

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger declared that there is very little to choose between teams at either end of the table, with the Gunners needing to be close to their best to beat any opposition they face in the hunt for silverware this season.

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s clash with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, Wenger said, “I watched them against Man United and they looked a very well organised team which is absolutely – as always with Tony Pulis – fully committed. On top of that they are in a difficult situation a little bit in the Premier League and you expect what you always expect in the Premier League – a committed, physical, fast game and a game where we cannot afford to make any mistakes.” Continue reading

Promising Arsenal youngster set for Midlands switch

Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are understood to be on the brink of landing Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry on loan this summer, according to reports in talkSPORT.

The 20 year old has not played for the Gunners’ first team since March 2014, with a knee injury having led to him spending the whole of the last season on the sidelines.

Arsenal misfit on verge of joining Premier League side

Former Arsenal misfit Abou Diaby is understood to be nearing a move to West Bromwich Albion this summer. According to reports in Sky Sports, the Frenchman will have his medical at the club this weekend, after which he will seal his move to The Hawthorns.

Diaby moved to the north London club in 2006, with manager Arsene Wenger believed to have been viewing him as the long term replacement for the legendary Patrick Vieira. However, during his long stay at the club, the 29 year old was able to make just 180 appearances for the Gunners’ first team, whilst racking up 40 injuries in total!

Premier League side hoping to sign Arsenal attacker

Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is understood to be on the wishlist of Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, with the Baggies understood to be looking to land him on loan this summer, according to reports in The Daily Mirror.

The player, who will turn 20 years old tomorrow, has been associated with the north Londoners since the summer of 2011, and has been able to make only 18 appearances for them till now, scoring a solitary goal and providing 2 assists.

Wenger wants to land 10-trophies winning defender

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has a surprise name on his transfer wishlist, if reports in the Sunday Mirror are to be believed. According to the story, the Frenchman is now keeping tabs on Manchester United defender Jonny Evans, with an intent to land him at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 27 year old is a versatile defender, who can play anywhere along the backline, as and when needed by his team. A product of the Red Devils youth academy, the player has been associated with the side since 2004, winning 3 Premier League titles, 2 League Cups, 3 FA Community Shields and 1 FIFA Club World Cup  with the side, apart from also winning the Football League Championship once, while on loan at Sunderland.

Wilshere hails his side for dominating performance against West Brom

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere, who was a part of the Gunners side that crushed West Bromwich Albion 4-1 in their final Premier League match of the season, was found in a positive mood after the game ended.

The Englishman was quoted telling reporters during the post-match conference: “We’ve given the fans something to remember. The first half had some of the best performances we’ve played this season. Every time we went forward and got into the final third we looked dangerous.”

Walcott grateful to boss for his belief in him

Arsenal star Theo Walcott played an important role in inspiring his side to a 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in their final Premier League fixture of the season, scoring a hattrick in the first half of the game. And the Englishman has indicated that he will not back off, when called upon by manager Arsene Wenger.

Walcott was quoted telling reporters after the game: “You need to be ready when given the opportunity. I’ve been out for a year, but I feel great. I’ve got to thank the manager for having faith in me.”
