Arsenal have finally completed the signing of their key summer targets, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez, according to a revelation made by manager Arsene Wenger.
Speaking to reporters, the Frenchman explained that the reason behind the Gunners’ delay in signing the aforementioned players has been the fact that English clubs, generally, are asked to splash out loads of cash for their targets and that it takes some time for both sides to narrow down upon a mutually agreeable fee.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, certainly, looks desperate to sign a world class centre back this summer. According to reports in The Daily Mail, the Frenchman, who had been reportedly showcasing keen interest in signing Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia until now, has approached Atletico Madrid with regards to the possibility of signing young defender Jose Gimenez.
The 21 year old Uruguayan, who has developed into one of the most highly rated young centre backs in Europe in recent times, has also been known to be a target for the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the past.
Arsenal are finally on the verge of landing their target, Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, with the player’s agent confirming that the north London giants have reached an understanding with the player with regards to the same.
Agent Ali Bulut was quoted telling Spox: “Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee.”
