Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper was rumoured to be on Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger’s wishlist for a while now, and the 21 year old has revealed today that he was approached by Wenger this summer about a possible move to the Gunners, and apparently told the Frenchman that he has no interest in leaving Los Cules.

Arsenal have been shocked in their pursuit of Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper, with reports in Sport revealing that the Catalans are ready to provide him with a chance to land himself ample first team game time in order to ensure the player remains at Nou Camp in the times to come.
Barcelona’s technical secretary Robert Fernandez was quoted telling reporters: “At first, he will be in the B team, with the option, of course, of being involved with the first team.”

The 20 year old is known to be a highly rated versatile midfielder, who can ply his trade in a defensive or holding role. Wenger admits Szczesny will join Roma
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to move to AS Roma in the coming days. The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “He could go on loan to Roma. We are pretty much done, it’s down to paperwork.”
