Arsenal set to make a move for James Rodriguez!

Arsenal are set to make a sensational move to sign Real Madrid’s out-of-favour attacker James Rodriguez, after failing to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport. It is believed that the Colombian ace has fallen further down the pecking order recently, with manager Zinedine Zidane known to be interested in providing youngster Marco Asensio with more first team chances, and the Gunners are keen to make the most out of the opportunity by bringing him to north London.

 

Gunners leading race to sign Turk sensation

Arsenal are believed to have taken the lead in the pursuit of their former player, Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to reports in The Metro. The 23 year old, meanwhile, is himself known to be favouring a move back to the Emirates Stadium, despite the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan also known to be hot on his trail.

Arsenal reconsidering move for former Gunner

Turkish international Oguzhan Ozyakup is a name familiar to long standing Arsenal fans, with the now 23 year old midfielder having spent 4 years training in the Gunners’ youth academy before being sold to Besiktas in 2012 for a negligible fee.

Three and a half seasons with the Turkish giants have seen the midfielder emerge as one of the top players in the Turkish Super Lig, and reports in local daily Milliyet suggests that Arsenal want their ex-player back and are reportedly even come close to meeting Besiktas’ £9 million valuation for him.
