Arsenal stars on the mend, but may not play against West Brom

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed that many of his walking wounded are on the mend, but are unlikely to be available for selection for the visit of West Bromwich Albion to the Emirates on Monday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain powers Arsenal into Quarter-finals of League Cup

A rather youthful Arsenal side, filled with youngsters and fringe players eased past an equally youthful Reading side 2-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night.

Shocking Arsenal concede 4 goals in Opening Day defeat to Liverpool

A shocking defensive performance for Arsenal in a 20 minute spell at the start of the second half cost the Gunners the opening game of the new season as Liverpool edged out Arsenal 4-3 in a terrific contest at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The first half was virtually all Arsenal as the Gunners moved the ball about beautifully and should have taken the lead before the half-hour mark as Alberto Moreno brought down Theo Walcott inside the box. 22 year old Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored for the second time in pre-season yesterday as the Gunners wrapped up their tour of the United States with a 3-1 win over Mexican side Chivas in a bruising encounter.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who had scored with a fantastic chip to give the Gunners a late equalizer against RC Lens in their pre-season opener, scored the second of Arsenal’s three goals yesterday after leaving two defenders for dead and producing a terrific left-footed finish. Continue reading
