Benzema move to Arsenal back on

The Karim Benzema transfer saga simply refuses to end, with Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli now revealing that the player is set to sign for Arsenal in the next few days. Giulianelli has revealed that the north London giants have tabled a £45m transfer offer to sign the Frenchman and that Real Madrid are set to accept it now.

And they are still chasing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang too

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still understood to be following Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang too, with the club likely to make a move for him if they fail to convince Karim Benzema to move to the Emirates Stadium in this transfer window, according to reports in The Metro. After reports of Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla signing new deals at the club, Mundo Deportivo has now suggested that even star full back Nacho Monreal has verbally agreed to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, and that he will be signing it in the days to come.

It is understood that as part of the new contract, Monreal will be entitled to wages of £75,000-a-week, which translates to a salary of nearly £3.9m-a-year.

Dortmund reiterate determination to hold on to Aubameyang

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has made it clear that their forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is known to be a target for Arsenal this summer, will not be sold anytime soon. Zorc was quoted telling German sports magazine Kicker: “I’ve heard a lot about this (a transfer to Arsenal) but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him. He is simply not for sale.”
