Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s hopes of signing AC Milan winger M’Baye Niang have been dashed, with reports in Gazzetta dello Sport revealing that the Italian giants are not ready to let go of the player anytime soon.
The 22 year old has been in fine form for Milan, with him making 16 appearances for them so far this season, scoring thrice and providing an equal number of assists. Additionally, despite being of Senegalese descent, he has represented his adopted country, France, at the Under 16, Under 17 and Under 21 levels till now.
A.C. Milan coach Vincenzo Montella on Friday decided that Arsenal transfer target, Colombian striker Carlos Bacca will not participate in the team’s US tour.
The club reported that Bacca, who played in the Copa America with Colombia until June 26, as well as Mattia De Sciglio, will begin pre-season preparations at the sports city but noted that the decision to leave them out of the squad for the tour is not linked to the transfer market. AC Milan chief coach Vincenzo Montella praised his striker Carlos Bacca, who expressed his desire to join another football club, presumably Arsenal, regularly competing in the UEFA Champions League, admitting that “it is difficult” to let the Colombian leave.
