Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be ready to even break his club’s transfer record by paying £48m to sign Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus this summer, according to reports in German publication SportBild. CONFIRMED: Highly rated striker completes Arsenal move

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has finally completed a move for a highly rated striker this summer; however, the player is not the one for whom fans have been waiting with baited breath. According to reports in the press, the Gunners have now signed Donyell Malen from Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax.

The Dutch side confirmed the news on their official website, revealing that the player has turned down the offer of a contract extension at the Amsterdam Arena and has moved to Arsenal with immediate effect.

Sensational forward confirms SHOCK Arsenal move

Youngster Donyell Malen has accidently confirmed his move to Arsenal from Ajax by posting a picture of himself, signing the contract with Arsenal transfer chief Dick Law and agent Mino Raiola, on his official Instagram page.

According to reports in The Metro, the player deleted the picture and his account soon after the error, but it was enough to inform fans about the club’s latest arrival.

Wenger set to beat Chelsea in race for Callejon

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to have become seriously interested in signing Napoli attacker Jose Callejon. And reports in Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that the Frenchman is now on the verge of signing the player in the coming days, thus trumping his other suitors Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.

Higuain is untouchable!

Meanwhile, Napoli attacker Manolo Gabbiadini has said that his teammate Gonzalo Higuain, who is believed to be a target for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea this summer, will not be sold by his club at any cost. Gabbiadini was quoted telling Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss: “We shouldn’t forget the number of decisive goals he scored. Pipita is untouchable.”

Arsenal sign Dutch striker

Unconfirmed reports in the Metro are suggesting that the Gunners have finally signed a striker. However, this is another one of Arsene Wenger’s young superstars for the future with Arsenal having reportedly completed the signing of 16 year old Ajax starlet Donyell Malen.

With the likes of Alex Iwobi and Jeff Reine-Adelaide having excelled at the Emirates Cup this weekend one can hardly be critical of Wenger’s super scouting network, and the Dutch youth international is believed to be yet another superstar in the making. Continue reading

A repeat of a story doing the rounds from yesterday is the Daily Telegraph the latest to report that Arsenal are looking to improve their initial offer of £31m for 27-year-old French striker Karim Benzema.
