Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has said that he is ‘flattered’ by reports of Barcelona’s interest in him, whilst speaking of his wish to move to Spain sometime in the future. The Welshman was quoted telling The Guardian: “Obviously it’s very flattering… One day I would like to go over to Spain to play.” (read more)

Wenger admits Szczesny will join Roma

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to move to AS Roma in the coming days. The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “He could go on loan to Roma. We are pretty much done, it’s down to paperwork.”

The player had fuelled rumours of his potential departure by following the Romans and a number of their players on Instagram sometime back. (read more)

Arsenal boss rubbishes words of club director

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that the Gunners’ director Lord Harris went ‘a bit overboard’ with his estimation, when he said that the club can buy any player in the current transfer window.

The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during his press conference ahead of his side’s Emirates Cup match against Olympique Lyon: “He has gone a bit overboard because that is not true. We are in a situation where we are working hard where if an opportunity comes up we can do something but we are not in need. We are in a strong position with a strong squad I am happy with. We have built up something special last season, that is a good team dynamic and confidence level.”

Arsenal chief glad after missing out on top target!

Arsenal director Lord Harris has spoken of his ‘pleasure’ at manager Arsene Wenger having decided to forgo the chance to sign Raheem Sterling from Liverpool this summer.

Lord Harris was quoted in The Daily Star, saying: “Sterling is a very, very good player but I’m very pleased Arsenal didn’t sign him. He’s got a lot to learn.”

Arsenal director makes encouraging revelation for fans

Arsenal director Lord Harris has confirmed that the Gunners are making attempts to sign a new forward this summer, whilst also making it clear that they will not hesitate to smash their transfer record for the same.

Lord Harris was quoted in The Daily Star, saying: “We get a list of the players that Wenger wants. On the list is a centre forward, but I’m not going to tell you who he is. We would back him to break the club’s transfer record. If he wanted the man, he could have him.”

Benzema not looking to move, reveals agent

The agent of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has revealed that his client is not wishful of parting ways with the La Liga giants anytime soon, despite reports in the press linking him with a potential move to Arsenal this summer. Agent Karim Djaziri was quoted telling Sky Sports News: “Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent.” (read more)

Besiktas want to sign…Danny Welbeck!

Turkish giants Besiktas are understood to have shortlisted Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck as their next summer target, according to reports in the Turkish media. It is understood that the club are hoping to sign the former Manchester United forward for £7-10.6m this summer, with the Gunners looking to land another striker this summer.

Meanwhile, realistically speaking, it seems unlikely that the north Londoners manager Arsene Wenger would be ready to part ways with the player anytime soon. (read more)
