Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s hopes of signing AC Milan winger M’Baye Niang have been dashed, with reports in Gazzetta dello Sport revealing that the Italian giants are not ready to let go of the player anytime soon.
The 22 year old has been in fine form for Milan, with him making 16 appearances for them so far this season, scoring thrice and providing an equal number of assists. Additionally, despite being of Senegalese descent, he has represented his adopted country, France, at the Under 16, Under 17 and Under 21 levels till now.
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed it was easy for him to reject an offer from Arsenal and stay at the reigning English Premier League (EPL) champions as both his “head and heart” wanted him to stay with Leicester.
Vardy played a starring role in Leicester’s fairytale run to their maiden EPL title last season. He was offered a lucrative offer by Arsenal during the off-season and had travelled with the England squad to the European Championship in France last June with his future still unresolved. Arsenal’s newest central defensive pairing, Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding were delighted with their performance today as they kept Premier League Champions Leicester City at bay, picking up a much needed clean sheet, especially after last week’s 4-3 defeat against Liverpool.

Arsenal fans, who must have been hoping to see Leicester City star RIyad Mahrez plying his trade for their side, are in for a big disappointment. As per reports in the press, the reigning English champions’ co-owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has made it clear that the player isn’t going away from King Power Stadium anytime soon.

Arsenal may have been unsuccessful in their quest to sign Jamie Vardy this summer from Premier League champions Leicester City, but they do appear to be having better luck with Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez with Algerian publication Le Buteur reporting this afternoon that the Gunners should wrap up the African’s capture before the weekend is out.
Arsenal are believed to have had a £37.1 million offer accepted by Leicester for the Premier League’s player of last season, and if rumours are to be believed Mahrez has also agreed personal terms with the Gunners ahead of his move to North London. Continue reading
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger seems to be in no mood to conclude his raid on Premier League champions Leicester City, if reports by Tancredi Palmeri are to be believed. According to a revelation made by the transfer expert, the Gunners have made the Foxes a £25m offer in order to sign their star attacker Riyad Mahrez.
Palmeri also went on to reveal that the Gunners held several meetings with the player’s representatives before tabling the bid, and that he himself is open to the prospect of moving to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
England manager Roy Hodgson has urged star striker Jamie Vardy to put his possible move to Arsenal on the backburner and focus on the national football team’s campaign in the upcoming European Championships.
