Arsenal set to make a move for James Rodriguez!

Arsenal are set to make a sensational move to sign Real Madrid’s out-of-favour attacker James Rodriguez, after failing to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport. It is believed that the Colombian ace has fallen further down the pecking order recently, with manager Zinedine Zidane known to be interested in providing youngster Marco Asensio with more first team chances, and the Gunners are keen to make the most out of the opportunity by bringing him to north London.

 

Gunners leading race to sign Turk sensation

Arsenal are believed to have taken the lead in the pursuit of their former player, Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to reports in The Metro. The 23 year old, meanwhile, is himself known to be favouring a move back to the Emirates Stadium, despite the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan also known to be hot on his trail.

Inter Milan boss invites Arsenal to bid on Icardi!

Arsenal have been linked with Inter Milan’s star forward Mauro Icardi all summer, and despite Head Coach Roberto Mancini telling the Gunners that the player is not available for sale, the club’s President Erick Thohir has over-ruled his manager and invited the Gunners to table an offer for the star forward.

Arsenal making plans to swoop for sensational Argentine

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, it seems, is keen to revamp his attacking third this summer. According to reports in The Daily Mirror, the Frenchman is monitoring the situation surrounding Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi closely, and may table a bid for him in the weeks to come.

The 23 year old, who is considered as one of the most highly rated strikers in the Serie A, is likely to become available in the near future, with Inter Milan understood to be considering letting him go for around £25m.

Chelsea making desperate attempts to sign Arsenal target Garay

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho seems to have become desperate to sign Ezequiel Garay in this transfer window, with reports in The Independent on Sunday revealing that the boss is viewing him as a potential alternative to the likes of John Stones, Antonio Rudiger, Marquinhos and Aymen Abdennour. The player is himself believed to be open to the prospect of a move to Stamford Bridge, but Zenit will certainly look to pocket a good amount of cash for a player who has a number of years remaining on his contract, should they have to part ways with him anytime soon.

BIG update in Arsenal’s pursuit of Argentine striker

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s hopes of signing Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi have received a massive blow, with the Serie A giants understood to have rejected the north Londoners’ bid for the player.

While the amount of cash offered by the Gunners is still not known, it is believed to be significantly less than the £32m that the Nerazzurri are wishful of pocketing from his sale.

Real Madrid’s Asier Illarramendi has turned down the chance to sign for Athletic Bilbao in the hope that Arsenal would make a move for him in the summer. Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti was quoted in The Daily Express, saying: “He will play on Saturday. He received an offer from Athletic, but the player is comfortable and happy here. Argentine striker to snub Arsenal for Inter Milan

Arsenal and Manchester City are set to be snubbed by Sampdoria youngster Mauro Icardi with media reports suggesting that the 19-year old Argentine striker will target a move to Italian giants Inter Milan in the summer instead.

Icardi started out as a youth player at Barcelona before joining the youth setup at Sampdoria and consequently made his senior debut for the club this season. The striker has been in fine form for the Italian club and has netted 9 goals in 19 appearances, including a brace against champions Juventus and a 4-goal haul against relegation-strugglers Pescara.
