Wenger ready to pay only £35m for Mahrez
Arsenal may have succeeded in signing only one marquee player in this year’s transfer market; however, manager Arsene Wenger seems to be still unwilling to loosen the strings of his purse. According to a revelation made by L’Equipe journalist Gilles Favard, the north London giants have tabled a second bid of £35m for Leicester City superstar Riyad Mahrez – one that may surely be turned down by the Foxes in the days to come. The Gunners have already seen a £30m offer being rejected for the same player.
Martinez drops massive hint that he could be set to move to Arsenal
Porto superstar Jackson Martinez has indicated that he may move to Arsenal this summer, by calling the north London side ‘a great team, playing in one of the best leagues in the world’.
