Arsenal fans, who must have been hoping to see Leicester City star RIyad Mahrez plying his trade for their side, are in for a big disappointment. As per reports in the press, the reigning English champions’ co-owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has made it clear that the player isn’t going away from King Power Stadium anytime soon.

Arsenal are believed to have come scintillatingly close to signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, with Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli revealing that the player will be brought to the north London club in a chartered plane, ahead of his medical on Monday. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger seems to have finally made up his mind to make a formal move for Schalke star Julian Draxler. According to reports in The Metro, the north Londoners are weighing up a £21.1m for the highly rated German ace.
It is believed that the Frenchman is considering paying a sum of £17.6m up front for the player, followed by the rest of the amount in bonus payments.
Arsenal veteran Mathieu Flamini is understood to be making it difficult for manager Arsene Wenger to wash his hands off him. According to reports in The Metro, the midfielder is asking for a considerably large payoff to terminate his contract this summer.
