Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been dashed, with the sporting director of the Bundesliga club making it clear that they have no intention of parting ways with the player anytime in the near future.
Michael Zorc was quoted telling German sports publication Kicker: “I’ve heard a lot but I’ve made it very clear that he’s firmly in our plans.”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be weighing up a big money move to sign Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, according to reports in the press.
While the amount of the Gunners’ imminent bid is still not known, it is believed that it may be close to the £31m mark, with the Bundesliga side having stamped a £31.4m price tag on their player.
Arsenal have been told in no uncertain terms by Borussia Dortmund that their lead striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not for sale.
Arsenal had reportedly made a £30m enquiry for the AC Milan reject, and were told quite simply that they have no chance of landing the player this summer, at that price.

Arsenal have been provided with the green light to sign Borussia Dortmund ace Kevin Grosskreutz. According to a recent revelation made by German football expert Andrija Brundic, Dortmund have informed the player that he has no future at the Signal Iduna Park, which in turn means that he may be sold in the summer.
Brundic tweeted: ‘Kevin Großkreutz: Borussia Dortmund have told the player, that he has no future in Dortmund. Summer sale most likely #Bundesliga’
Arsenal are understood to be preparing a bid to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer, according to reports in the press.

And although Dortmund have performed comparatively better in their recent few matches, and are currently trying to make it to the top 4 this season, Mkhitaryan knows it will not be an easy prospect for the side.

David Moyes has reportedly include Borussia Dortmund and German international midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on the growing list of targets who can give Manchester United a solution to their midfield woes. Arsenal, who acquired Mesut Ozil in the summer, are also reported to be interested in the midfielder, and both clubs look set to battle it out for his signature according to reports in the Daily Star.
Gundogan was reported to have agreed a deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid last month, only to have his father refute the rumour. The German midfielder is currently out of action, after picking up a back injury in September. However, given his track record, his valuation of 25 million pounds would be a real steal.
