Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to have become seriously interested in signing Napoli attacker Jose Callejon. And reports in Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that the Frenchman is now on the verge of signing the player in the coming days, thus trumping his other suitors Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.

Higuain is untouchable!

Meanwhile, Napoli attacker Manolo Gabbiadini has said that his teammate Gonzalo Higuain, who is believed to be a target for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea this summer, will not be sold by his club at any cost. Gabbiadini was quoted telling Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss: “We shouldn’t forget the number of decisive goals he scored. Pipita is untouchable.”

Ospina set to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina may not part ways with the Gunners anytime soon, with reports in The Daily Mirror revealing that the player is set to prolong his stay at the Emirates Stadium with him having held crunch talks with manager Arsene Wenger recently. The player was believed to have become unsure of his future at the club following the arrival of Petr Cech earlier this month.

Arsenal star Theo Walcott agrees to ink new deal

Arsenal ace Theo Walcott has reportedly agreed to put pen to paper on a new four year contract at the Emirates Stadium, according to reports in The Daily Mirror. The Englishman has now become one of the highest earning players at the north London side, with him set to pocket in excess of £100,000-a-week in wages.

Arsenal misfit on verge of joining Premier League side

Former Arsenal misfit Abou Diaby is understood to be nearing a move to West Bromwich Albion this summer. According to reports in Sky Sports, the Frenchman will have his medical at the club this weekend, after which he will seal his move to The Hawthorns.

Diaby moved to the north London club in 2006, with manager Arsene Wenger believed to have been viewing him as the long term replacement for the legendary Patrick Vieira. However, during his long stay at the club, the 29 year old was able to make just 180 appearances for the Gunners’ first team, whilst racking up 40 injuries in total!

Benzema not looking to move, reveals agent

The agent of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has revealed that his client is not wishful of parting ways with the La Liga giants anytime soon, despite reports in the press linking him with a potential move to Arsenal this summer. Agent Karim Djaziri was quoted telling Sky Sports News: “Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent.” (read more)

Besiktas want to sign…Danny Welbeck!

Turkish giants Besiktas are understood to have shortlisted Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck as their next summer target, according to reports in the Turkish media. It is understood that the club are hoping to sign the former Manchester United forward for £7-10.6m this summer, with the Gunners looking to land another striker this summer.

Arsenal boss dejected at being unable to harness world class talent

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is extremely disappointed at having failed to help Abou Diaby develop to his fullest at the club.

Wenger was quoted telling Arsenal Player: “It’s one of the saddest moments for us at Arsenal not to have had the opportunity to get the best out of Abou Diaby because of injury. I’m very sad because this boy is a massive and a huge talent. It’s sad as well because he didn’t deserve what he got.”

Au Revoir Abou Diaby

Arsenal misfit Abou Diaby, who in his 10-year long stay at the club suffered a series of injuries, which limited his first team chances, is finally parting ways with the side, along with 4 other academy players.

A statement on the club’s official website, read: ‘Abou Diaby, together with academy players Jack Jebb, Austin Lipman, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Josh Vickers, are leaving Arsenal, having reached the end of their contracts.’

Arsenal are running the risk of missing out on the chance to sign Porto forward Jackson Martinez, with his agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo revealing that the player is holding advanced talks with Serie A giants AC Milan. He, however, also made it clear that the player is yet to make up his mind on his next destination.
