Sunderland manager and former Tottenham and Chelsea star Gus Poyetâ€™s son Diego has caught the attention of Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham, among others, reports the Daily Mail.
Diego Poyet, 18, is in his first season in the Charlton senior team in the Championship and is already showing signs of turning into a good player. Although he has made just 6 championship appearances, Arsenal are willing to make an offer for the central midfielder. Continue reading
Arsene Wenger has continued his trademark approach of signing raw young talent with up and coming Nigerian youngster Semi Ajayi, becoming his latest acquisition, reports the Metro. The young defender is a welcome addition to a Gunners squad reeling with injuries. However, it is unlikely that the 19 year old will get first team opportunities anytime soon and is probably one for the future. Ajayi joins Arsenal on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic, the same club which gave the Gunners Carl Jenkinson a few years back at a similar age.
The Gunners were yet to officially confirm the move but Ajayi took to twitter to thank Charlton and speak about his move to Arsenal. Continue reading
