Arsenal striker joins Championship side Brighton on loan

Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom, who has missed the better part of the 2016-17 season due to injury, will attempt to regain form and fitness away to Championship club Brighton and Hove Albion over the second half of the season, joining the side on loan.

Brighton Manager Chris Hughton was excited to welcome Akpom to the Championship leaders, telling the club’s website: “As soon as we allowed Elvis Manu to go out on loan we knew we wanted to add to the forward area, so we are delighted to bring in someone of Chuba’s calibre. Continue reading

Wenger reacts to Benzema transfer rumours

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has reacted to rumours about the Gunners’ interest in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Wenger happy to keep want away defender

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that he had no issues keeping Carl Jenkinson at the club should the defender’s move to Crystal Palace fail to materialize in the January transfer window.

Arsenal open talks over £51 million forward

Arsenal are believed to have opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over the potential summer signing of German international forward Marco Reus as cover for Alexis Sanchez should the Chilean forward continue his contract impasse with the club.

FC Porto announced yesterday the extension of defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira’s contract until 2022, with a 60 million euro buy out clause.
