Bundesliga football club VfL Wolfsburg on Monday announced Dutchman Andries Jonker as their new head coach after sacking Valerien Ismael on Sunday. The 54-year-old, who operated as assistant and tactical coach at Wolfsburg between 2012 and 2014, has signed with the Wolves until 2018.
Jonker joins the club from English giants Arsenal, where he has run the London club’s youth academy since 2014. Interestingly, his Assistant at Wolfsburg will be another former Arsenal man in Swedish winger Freddie Ljungberg. Continue reading
