Arsenal have been slow to get key players to commit to new deals this season, but one player who looks certain to have secure his Arsenal future is young midfielder Jack Wilshere, who has resurrected his career during his loan spell at Bournemouth.
Having endured an injury riddled time at the Emirates over the last two seasons, a prudent move out on loan to Dean Court appears to have rejuvenated the England international, who turned 25 yesterday.
Like many of Arsenal’s superstars, Wilshere has just 18 months left to run on his contract with the club, and the Gunners are not going to wait for the player to return to the Emirates before getting him to commit his future to the club.
The Sun reports this morning that Wilshere will be offered a new contract this month, one that he is almost certain to accept as he prepares to return to Arsenal next season and fight for a starting berth.
Wilshere was mesmeric for Bournemouth last evening as the Cherries routed Swansea City 3-0 and Arsenal fans will certainly be hoping that the youngster can stay healthy when he returns to the Emirates later this year as he has the ability to be a world class player for the club.
