Charlton come calling for Arsenal youth team star

Proven goalscorers are always in demand in football, and it appears that a second Arsenal striker will be heading out on loan this January.

Quick on the heels of Chuba Akpom moving to Brighton on loan for the second half of the 2016-17 season, it appears that Arsenal youth star, 18 year old Stephy Mavididi could be joining League One side Charlton Athletic according to reports in the London Evening Standard.

A loan move for Mavididi could prove beneficial for the England Under-19 international as playing professional football with men will certainly speed up his learning curve immensely as against playing youth football, whilst also giving Arsenal an opportunity to assess his progress.

Mavididi has scored 25 goals in 47 games for Arsenal’s youth team over the last season and a half and a few months spent with training and playing with the Charlton first team is likely to do him a world of good.
