Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere did his bit for Bournemouth today, holding Tottenham to a 0-0 draw at the Vitality Stadium in the early kick-off on Saturday.
Wilshere got his first 90 minutes of the season under his belt and was solid in midfield, limiting Spurs to negligible chances, that prevented the Gunners’ North London rivals from going top of the league standings.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe shared after the game, “I am pleased for Jack Wilshere, he was terrific from start to finish. Lots of unseen work from him and how good he was defensively.”
Wilshere himself added, “We knew we had to match them, they are a great team with quality on the ball. We knew that if we played well under pressure we would do well.”
Speaking about his own performance, the youngster shared, “I feel better and better each week. The manager has been great to me and I feel like I am getting fitter and fitter. Hopefully, I can contribute more.”
