Being top of the Premier League isn’t giving Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger any joy in press conferences with the veteran Frenchman continuing to be questioned about his future with Pep Guardiola being available to clubs this summer.
The former Barcelona legend, Guardiola, has announced that he will be moving to England this summer, and while everyone expects the Catalan to move to Manchester City, fans of all clubs are desirous of landing the multiple trophy winner.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was as a result put into the uncomfortable of having to talk about his own long term plans and whether Guardiola would be a good fit for the Gunners as his possible successor.
Wenger responded to the queries with predictable irritation saying, “I’m very pleased that you care about our club and my succession but it’s not my job to talk about that and not your job to make this decision. I can only make sure of one thing, that the guy who comes after me finds the club in a very strong position with very good players in a very good, strong financial situation. I hope I can convince you that I can do that.”
