Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has clarified that there is no change in the status of Serge Gnabry as regards to his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, contrary to media reports which have suggested that the 20 year old German attacker was returning to North London after his loan spell had been terminated by the club.
Wenger said, “We have a commitment. The player wanted to go there. We have a commitment with West Brom. If they want to cancel the loan, they have to contact us and speak about it. But at the moment, we are not there.”West Brom meanwhile have also not hinted that they are keen to terminate the player’s loan spell, despite Gnabry struggling to break into the Baggies’ first team, and his playing style clearly not fitting in with his Manager Tony Pulis’ approach to football.
Arsenal fans will no doubt be hoping that the talented German’s time at the club doesn’t turn out to be a total waste.
