Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has brought a clashing halt to rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal this winter by declaring rather vehemently that he has absolutely no interest in joining the Gunners.
The 27 year old Gabon striker, who has been in red hot form this season, scoring 24 goals in 23 games, was linked with a move to North London at the start of the winter transfer window with newspaper reports suggesting that Arsene Wenger was ready to break the bank to sign a striker that could power Arsenal to the Premier League title this season.
However, Aubameyang has quashed all such rumours declaring his lack of interest in a move to the Arsenal.
The African striker said, “I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon.”
With Javier Hernandez also declaring his allegiance to new club Bayer Leverkusen it is becoming increasingly likely that Arsenal will not be signing a striker this winter.
Arsenal fans meanwhile will hope that Danny Welbeck recovers from his injury woes soon to add some much needed depth to the Gunners’ frontline.
