Arsenal are understood to be weighing up a move for Lorient left-back Raphael Guerreiro, according to reports in France Football.
The Gunners are believed to be unsure about the future of Nacho Monreal at the Emirates Stadium, which is why manager Arsene Wenger is understood to have shortlisted the young Portuguese as potential replacement for him.
As Wenger recently revealed, the north Londoners are yet to approach Monreal with the offer of a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, despite reports of Athletic Bilbao taking a keen interest in bringing him back to Spain.
Meanwhile, 21 year old Guerreiro, who can ply his trade anywhere along the left side of the field, was in impressive form for his club last season, making 36 appearances and even scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists in the process. Additionally, he has also represented Portugal on the international stage twice till now, scoring a solitary goal.
Guerreiro, meanwhile, is known to be valued in the region of around £10m by his side this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain also showcasing a keen interest in signing him. And while he may prove to be a useful signing for Arsenal in the times to come, should they succeed in landing him, the loss of Monreal will still be a massive blow to the team, especially as the latter was one of the most consistent players for the side last season.
