Wenger set to beat Chelsea in race for Callejon

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is believed to have become seriously interested in signing Napoli attacker Jose Callejon. And reports in Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that the Frenchman is now on the verge of signing the player in the coming days, thus trumping his other suitors Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.

Higuain is untouchable!

Meanwhile, Napoli attacker Manolo Gabbiadini has said that his teammate Gonzalo Higuain, who is believed to be a target for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea this summer, will not be sold by his club at any cost. Gabbiadini was quoted telling Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss: “We shouldn’t forget the number of decisive goals he scored. Pipita is untouchable.”

Wenger wants to sign Sergio Busquets

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly made up his mind to sign Barcelona’s star defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets this summer, according to reports in Spanish publication Sport. It is understood that the Frenchman has already told the club directors that he wishes to land the Spaniard at any cost in this transfer window, with him being considered the ideal replacement for Mikel Arteta at the club.  (read more)

Reus will stay at Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus, who is understood to be a target for the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid this summer, will not be parting ways with his club anytime soon. The player’s agents Sport Total agency revealed: “We can say with certainty that the player is having a wonderful time at Dortmund. He is flattered by the interest of many European teams, but he’s recently decided to stay in Dortmund.”

De Bruyne must hand in transfer request to move

Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne must hand in a formal transfer request if he wishes to move away from the club and back to the Premier League this summer, according to a revelation made by an unnamed source. The source was quoted in The Daily Star, saying: “If he makes it clear he wants to leave them then they will re-think the situation.”

The Belgian ace is known to be a top target for Manchester City this summer, apart from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea also reported to be keeping tabs on him.

Campbell agrees to move to Palermo on loan

Arsenal are understood to have agreed a deal with Italian side Palermo regarding the loan move of their flop forward Joel Campbell, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport. It is believed that Palermo’s president is set to arrive in London to conclude the deal, with former Manchester United manager and current Real Sociedad boss David Moyes set to lose out on the chance to land him. (read more)

Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be set to open talks with Everton midfielder James McCarthy this week, according to a revelation made in The Daily Express. The player is believed to be a target for the likes of Manchester United, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool too this summer.

Donyell Malen completes Arsenal switch?

Young forward Donyell Malen seems to have already moved to Arsenal from Ajax, with reports in The Metro revealing that the player posted a picture of him signing for the Gunners on his official Instagram account. Vidal signs for Bayern Munich

Chilean superstar Arturo Vidal has completed a move back to the Bundesliga, joining Bayern Munich from Juventus, according to reports in the press. The player, who was believed to be a top target for the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United till sometime ago, has signed a 4 year deal with the club, with an additional option of another year.

The player is expected to earn a salary of €10m per year at Allianz Arena, with the Bavarian having paid around €37m for him this summer.

Diaby agrees deal with Marseille

Former Arsenal misfit About Diaby has agreed a deal to move to Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille, according to reports in the press. The player, who was also believed to be a target for West Bromwich Albion this summer, was released by the Gunners at the end of the last month following the expiration of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Adebayor will have medical at Aston Villa today

Former Arsenal and current Tottenham Hotspur forward Emmanuel Adebayor is understood to be edging closer to a move to Aston Villa now. According to reports in Sky Sports, the player is set to have a medical at Villa Park today, with him having been spotted at the club’s training ground yesterday.
