Ramsey wants to move to Spain!

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has said that he is ‘flattered’ by reports of Barcelona’s interest in him, whilst speaking of his wish to move to Spain sometime in the future. The Welshman was quoted telling The Guardian: “Obviously it’s very flattering… One day I would like to go over to Spain to play.” (read more)

Wenger admits Szczesny will join Roma

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to move to AS Roma in the coming days. The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “He could go on loan to Roma. We are pretty much done, it’s down to paperwork.”

The player had fuelled rumours of his potential departure by following the Romans and a number of their players on Instagram sometime back. (read more)

Arsenal gazump Liverpool’s move for Reus

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly moved ahead and hijacked Liverpool’s move for Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus, according to reports in The Daily Star. It is believed that the north London giants would have to shell out nearly £47.8m to sign the player this summer, with them known to have been following him for quite a while now. (read more)

Arsenal target Dzeko may leave the squad, reveals Pellegrini

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that their forward Edin Dzeko may part ways with the club this summer. The Bosnian ace is known to be a target for Arsenal this summer.

Pellegrini was quoted in The Metro, saying: “Edin didn’t play the last game as it’s not clear if he will continue here or not but he still working with the whole squad.” (read more)

Lyon boss expects Lacazette to stay

Olympique Lyon coach Hubert Fournier has revealed that he expects club star Alexandre Lacazette to remain at the club this summer. The boss was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “I haven’t got much to say. He has said he wants to stay with us… we obviously want to keep him at the club.”

The French sensation is known to be a top target for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool in this transfer window. (read more)

Benzema will stay at Real, says Benitez

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has said that he is sure of club forward Karim Benzema remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, according to reports in the press. Benitez was quoted in The Daily Star, saying: “Karim is our player but I won’t talk about that. But I’m sure he will stay with us.”

The Frenchman is understood to be a top target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger this summer.

Meanwhile, Wenger has himself admitted that his pursuit of the player may be over now. Speaking in context of the words of Benzema’s agent Karim Djaziri, who said that the player will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu ‘1000 per cent’, Wenger quipped: “One thousand per cent is a lot. It’s quite convincing.”

Juventus allowed to hold talks with Arsenal target Draxler

Bundesliga giants Schalke are understood to have provided reigning Serie A champions Juventus with the go ahead to hold transfer negotiations with their player Julian Draxler. Schalke’s sporting director Horst Heldt was quoted telling German sports magazine Kicker: “If Juventus want him, then things can move forward.”

Draxler has been believed to be a target for Arsenal for quite a while now. (read more)

Wenger rubbishes Lord Harris’ comments

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has laughed off club director Lord Harris’ words in which he said that the Gunners have over £200m to spend this summer. The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “He has got a bit overboard there because that’s not true.”

Wenger, however, also added that if the club are provided with an opportunity to sign a new and necessary player, they will surely make a move for him. (read more)

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to reveal anything regarding whether the Gunners will be involved in carrying out transfers during the deadline day or not. The Frenchman was quoted telling reporters during a press conference: “I cannot guarantee you that and I cannot rule it out.”

Pedro tells Barca he wants a move

Barcelona winger Pedro is understood to have told club boss Luis Enrique and president Josep Maria Bartomeu that he wishes to move away from the Nou Camp this summer, according to reports in The Metro. The Spaniard is known to be a top target for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in this transfer window.

But Bartra declares his allegiance to Barcelona

Arsenal and Liverpool target, Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, has made it clear that he is not considering parting ways with the Catalans anytime soon, despite the variety of reports in the press. The player was quoted telling Marca: “Every year, the same thing [my future] is discussed [in the media], but my only thought was and remains staying at Barca.” (read more)

Samper’s dad contacts Arsenal

Arsenal’s interest in Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper seems to be a two-way thing now, with reports in El Confidencial revealing that the player’s dad has now got in touch with the Gunners over the prospect of forcing a move for his son. It is believed that the youngster had visited the north Londoners’ training ground with Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral in 2011, but did not follow up to complete a switch to the club – something they are regretting now. (read more)
