Arsenal are understood to have approached Serie A giants Juventus, to ask them about the availability of their highly rated young attacker Kingsley Coman, according to reports in Calciomercato.
Furthermore, it is reported that the Bianconeri have snubbed the approach from the north London side, making it clear that the player is not for sale anytime in the near future.
It is believed that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been an ardent admirer of the player for quite a while now, with him having tried to land him last summer too, before he eventually moved to the Italian side from French club Paris Saint-Germain. And it is believed that the club will again attempt to lure him to the Emirates Stadium, despite Juventus rebuffing their initial approach.
The 19 year old, who can play as a winger or a secondary striker, made 20 appearances for the Champions League finalists last season, scoring a solitary goal and providing 2 assists. He has, additionally, also represented France at a number of youth levels.
It is believed that Wenger is viewing the versatile player as the ideal long term replacement for Lukas Podolski at the Emirates Stadium. However, the fact that he still has 4 years left on his current deal with Juve may make it very difficult for Arsenal to sign him. Throw in the likes of his other suitors, Bayern Munich, Genoa, Palermo and Sassuolo, and the race for his competition becomes even fiercer!
