Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been provided with a massive boost in the pursuit of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. According to reports in the press, the Bianconeri CEO Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that the Chilean ace has expressed his wish to part ways with the reigning Serie A champions this summer.
Juve were reported tweeting from their official twitter account: ‘Marotta: “@kingarturo23 has expressed his desire to embark on a different experience, as did Ogbonna, Tevez and Pirlo.”’
The north London giants have been linked with a move for the 28 year old for quite a while now, with manager Wenger viewing him as the perfect world class solution to his midfield needs. However, despite the club known to have been one of the favourites to sign the player for a long time, there has been no official confirmation of a bid from their end for him.
Meanwhile, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are now understood to have become the frontrunners in the race for the player’s signature, with their chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge himself confirming those reports. And that, in turn, spells problems for the Gunners, if they are still looking to land the Chilean ace.
