Arsenal star Theo Walcott played an important role in inspiring his side to a 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in their final Premier League fixture of the season, scoring a hattrick in the first half of the game. And the Englishman has indicated that he will not back off, when called upon by manager Arsene Wenger.
Walcott was quoted telling reporters after the game: “You need to be ready when given the opportunity. I’ve been out for a year, but I feel great. I’ve got to thank the manager for having faith in me.”
The Englishman also pointed out that the 2014-15 season had been a rollercoaster campaign for the Gunners. He said that they had a good run in the league, which came to end a few weeks ago. He said that while the side have finished third in the league, they will be able to term their season as being a good one, if they are able to win the FA Cup next week.
Walcott then concluded by saying that, according to him, the north Londoners will be able to challenge for the Premier League title next season, with the kind of squad that they have got at their disposal.
