Erik Bielderman, football writer for L’Equipe, has rejected the prospect of big spending PSG signing Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas and confirmed the desire of the fans to see Arsene Wenger at the helm of the French revolution in Football.
Arsene Wenger is reportedly on the wishlist of the Ligue 1 winners but the Arsenal boss has a contract at the Emirates till 2014 and the old timer is expected to fulfill his contractual duties.
Wenger has cemented his legacy in North London, as the financial boom in football skipped Arsenal, who remain trophyless for the last eight seasons but his shrewdness in the transfer market combined with his ability to groom youngsters into world class players has given the world a new generation of superstars.
Although most of these superstars have left the Emirates to pursue their ambitions, Wenger has still stayed faithful and continues to be the first choice of the management to lead the club at least for another year.
Carlo Ancelotti is set to leave for Real Madrid and the French capital is desperate for another experienced manager and since Villas-Boas is not fitting the bill on the grounds of experience, he is unlikely to be well accepted by either the fans or the players. However, the idea of Wenger joining the club looks a bit far fetched as the Frenchman has plenty of unfinished business at Arsenal.
